Photo-Voice Exhibition: The lived realities of asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland

An exhibition of photographs that showcases the lived realities of asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland who also live with HIV. Using participatory action research, Dr Dina Sidhva, Associate of the Global Health Academy and Honorary Fellow of Centre for South Asian Studies, University of Edinburgh has drawn upon the visual medium to give voice to the poignant stories of forced migrants in Scotland against the backdrop of the UK’s policies on supporting asylum seekers and refugees.

Hosted by Jim Eadie MSP, the exhibition will be formally opened by Mr Humza Yousaf MSP, Minister of Europe and International Development, Scottish Government. Other speakers include Dr Dina Sidhva and Prof Charlie Jeffery, Senior Vice Principal, The University of Edinburgh.
